Principal’s Message

Dear Davey Elementary Families,

Welcome to Davey Elementary! My name is Dr. Barb Flowers, and I am excited and honored to serve as your new principal. As we enjoy the summer months, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and welcome both returning and new families to our school community.

I am looking forward to meeting our students and families and working alongside our dedicated staff to create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. At Davey Elementary, we value strong relationships, open communication, and a partnership between home and school. Together, we can help every student reach their full potential.

Throughout the summer, our staff will be preparing for an exciting school year filled with learning, growth, and opportunities for students to succeed. We will continue to share important updates and information as the start of the school year approaches, so please be sure to check our website and school communications regularly.

This summer, I encourage families to participate in our Rough Riders Read program happening throughout the Kent community. This is a wonderful opportunity to help your child continue reading during the summer months while enjoying fun activities, engaging books, and special events. Summer reading is one of the best ways to keep students learning and growing, and we hope to see many of our Davey students participating.
